Earlier this Friday, Vic Mensa dropped his latest single “Shelter,” featuring Chance the Rapper and Wyclef Jean. On the heels of its release, Vic teamed up with Okayplayer to drop an exclusive Spotify playlist, “The Art of Healing” in honor of the collaboration. Stream the full playlist below.
On Tuesday, February 9th, Vic Mensa will join Okayplayer for the first of three virtual conversations on mental health and wellness. RVSP here to secure a spot.
Vic describes the 15-track playlist as “a collection of songs that have been therapeutic and a guiding light during times of adversity.” In addition to “Shelter,” the playlist features tracks from Jay Z, Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley & The Wailers, and more.
Soulful, politically-charged cuts like Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going on,” Hugh Masekela’s “Blues For Huey,” and Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” make the cut.
