These are Tyler, the Creator's Favorite Songs of 2022

Tyler, the Creator tweeted a list of his eleven favorite songs of 2022, including tracks from Steve Lacy, Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar.

Tyler, the Creator's favorite songs of the year are here. One week after JAY-Z made a TIDAL playlist of his favorite 2022 tracks, Tyler followed with a tweet of his top songs, with Steve Lacy, Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar and more making the list.

King Push, who received a Best Rap Album Grammy nomination for his fourth studio album It's Almost Dry, topped the list with his Jay-Z and Pharrell Williams collaboration "Neck & Wrist." Tyler's 2022 collaboration with Williams, "Cash In Cash Out," which also features 21 Savage, also made his list of best songs.

Tyler, the Creator also gave a shoutout to Odd Future affiliate Steve Lacy for the track "Buttons" from Lacy's sophomore album Gemini Rights. In an August Billboard profile, Lacy credited Tyler for assisting him with the chorus for "Bad Habit," making the song a Billboard Hot 100 top-charter and a TikTok hit.

“At first it was, ‘I wish I knew you/ I wish I knew you wanted me,’ ” Lacy said. “And then he was like, ‘It’d actually be more memorable if you cut that word [‘you’] out,’ so shout out to Tyler.”

Kendrick Lamar made Tyler's list twice for "Worldwide Steppers" and "Savior" from his fifth studio album Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers. Following the album's release, Tyler discussed his love for Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers during a Converse All-Star Series panel.

“[It’s] so open and honest that some people can’t listen to it,” Tyler said. “Because they probably feel like he’s looking at them in their eyes. And they’re like, ‘Uhhh, I can’t panic. I can’t listen to this. Put on something else so I can hit my dougie.’”
