An Odd Future reunion is probably not in the cards, according to Tyler, The Creator.
In a recent Q&A session pegged to his new Converse collaboration, Tyler was pressed for the possibility of getting the band back together for another Odd Future tape. And it doesn’t appear all that likely. Tyler, who took home his first Grammy for his 2019 album, IGOR, explained, “I would be open to it, but I think everyone’s kinda past that.”
He goes on to provide a fairly objective assessment of the collective’s early-2010s projects, “Honestly, the OF tapes weren’t that good. It was just a fun time.” Before closing out his response, Tyler adds that he’s open to the prospect of a reunion record, but is unsure of how well the respective styles of each member would mesh. But he isn’t exactly shutting the door on the idea. “Who knows, this could change in six weeks.”
