Trina Just Released "The One," Her First Album in 9 Years
After a six-year delay, the long-awaited album is finally here.
Trina just released her sixth studio album, The One— her first album in nine years.
Earlier this week, the rap legend released a collaborative single ahead of the album with Nicki Minaj called, "BAPS" which reworked Cash Money Millionaires' "Project Chick."
"Fuck Boy" interpolates Eazy-E's "Boyz-n-the-Hood" and "If It Ain't Me" with K. Michelle samples Patti Labelle's "Somebody Loves You Baby." The project boasts a hefty lineup of features including 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Plies, Boosie Badazz, Sevyn, Dave East, Rico Love, Kelly Price, and more.

In a recent interview with Nessa Diab for HOT 97, Trina talked about the album's delay, saying, "I've given the last six years of my life to this project. That's a really long time, especially when I had hopes that it would come out three years ago. I kept recording. I kept adding new stuff, new songs, and it just kept growing and growing."
