Earlier this week, Saunders, alleged Minaj didn’t promote and shoot a video for the collab. Minaj on her Beats 1 Queen Radio show, which then prompted Trina to respond.
On Wednesday (August 14), Trina took to Instagram Live to take accountability. She also denounced the team member who criticized Minaj in an attempt to speak on Trina’s behalf instead of consulting her first. “Me and my team, we dropped the ball,” she said.
At one point Trina admits to having done “bad business” and took accountability before revealing she had already had a long phone call with Minaj discussing logistics and clarified, “this isn’t about Nicki Minaj and a video.”
“This is my project. I worked six years for this. I don’t expect nobody— not Nic, not nobody else on the album, not my team, not nobody to do what I need to be done for my project.”
Trina proclaimed, “there is no beef between me and Nicki Minaj. There will be no disrespect for Nicki Minaj or nobody else that’s on my album.”
