The Round-Up: Best Songs of The Week - ft. Stevie Wonder, Helado Negro, Pink Siifu, and More [Playlist]

Sending 2018 out with a fresh haul of new sounds

The final Friday of the year is upon us. And with it, we're getting a bit of a reprieve from the relentless 2018 Release Day cycle. Lacking any notable long-plays -- save for that massive collection of unreleased Motown recordings and Budgie's brilliant gospel-infused instrumental album, Holy Ghost Zone -- we're jumping right into the pool of loosies lining the edge of 2018.

Helado Negro marched on towards is upcoming Private Energy follow-up with the wilting and wonderfully psychedelic "Pais Nublado." Pink Siifu stitched romance raps into a phased and fuzzy '60s-r&b chop on "pickup." Chris Crack attacked a cooled-out chipmunk soul specimen on "Hennergy." KXNG Crooked jumped on a no-fuss "Fu-Gee-La" recalibration. Da-P forged his own celestial house trajectory with "One Up." And, of course, there's a previously unheard little gem of a Stevie Wonder live performance tucked in, pulled from the expansive Unreleased 68' compilation.
