The-Dream is Using OnlyFans to Promote His 'Sextape 4' Album

The-Dream is using an unconventional method to promote his new album, Sextape 4.

On April 17th, R&B veteran The-Dream released his latest album, Sextape 4 (which is a followup to his massive 2018 triple album Ménage à Trois: Sextape Vol. 1, 2, 3.) The album, which has an appearance from Jhené Aiko, features 13 tracks of bedroom jams.

But with COVID-19 [Coronavirus] ravaging the world right now, it's a brutal climate to release new music in. Which is why artists are trying unconventional methods to promote their music. On Tuesday, April 23rd, The-Dream announced that he was opening up an OnlyFans account to help promote his Sextape 4 album.

If you're unaware, OnlyFans is a social media site where creators provide exclusive content to those who subscribe to the page. Anyone in any industry can open an OnlyFans, but the site is dominated by sex workers and adult film stars charging a couple of bucks a month for exclusive x-rated content.

The-Dream is being savvy with this. He is making his account free. And he is also featuring prominent dancers on the site. So, for the first video, The-Dream had a dancer named Kayla Marie dancing to "Wee Hours," one of the better songs on the album.

The-Dream doesn't appear in the videos himself; instead, he promotes the dancers in the video, tagging their Instagram accounts and their OnlyFans accounts, if they have one.

The-Dream also has his latest video, "Passion," on the site.
