The Breeding Ground is a gorgeous venue located in the heart of Bushwick, Brooklyn. It is also the world's first "recording lounge." The venue regularly hosts invite-only concerts. What makes these shows unique is that these shows are recorded on multiple cameras. So they are creating a live experience that folks at home can enjoy later.
So far there have been over 120 performances. Performers are all in the realm of hip-hop, soul, R&B and jazz. The Breeding Ground has slowly been revealing some of these performances they've gathered over the years. Here is how they describe their work:
This unique grassroots effort brings to you, in its rawest form, some of the most captivating performers from New York City and abroad. Spanning a variety of musical influences, these artists all share four essential qualities: originality, virtuosity, authenticity, and timelessness.
On Tuesday, September 20th, The Breeding Ground officially launched their site where these performances will live.
To celebrate the occasion, they gave us the green light to premiere one of their performances. This performance stars the stunning Farrah Boulé, a vicious MC and the Founder of Tribal Hop Musical Ecosystem of Healing Arts, a global initiative aimed to inspire balance between Mother Nature and Humanity.
In the video she performs a riveting redemption of her song "Bonzai."
Check out the performance below. And check out The Breeding Ground's site. They are definitely doing some cool things.
