The Atlanta Braves Are Hosting An Outkast Bobblehead Night

As one of several bobblehead giveaway nights, the Atlanta Braves are releasing an Outkast bobblehead dedicated to the beloved rap duo.

Big Boi and André 3000 of Outkast are coming to bobblehead form. On Tuesday (February 28), the Atlanta Braves announced one of several bobblehead giveaway nights, with a miniature version of beloved ATLiens debuting May 25 at Truist Park. While 3000 wears the team's road gray uniform, Big Boi is seen rocking their vintage 1970s look.

The duo last released 2006's Idlewild before going on a near-decade-long hiatus. In October 2014, they last performed at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans, six years before the 20th anniversary of their fourth album, Stankonia. Since then, 3 Stacks and Big Boi have worked separately, the former brushing off his acting chops in television (American Crime, Dispatches from Elsewhere) and film (Showing Up, White Noise). With three solo studio albums, Big Boi last released collaborative album The Big Sleepover with Sleepy Brown in 2021.

During an interview on The Zane Lowe Show that same year, Big Boi revealed that he has an unreleased Outkast documentary.

“I just so happen to be in possession of the last Outkast tours from 1998 to 2000-whatever. Like, hours and hours and hours," he said. "We had to watch [and] digitize the footage for, like, a month and a half. We had to sit through there and watch it. I got the greatest Outkast documentary, never sold. Locked in the vault.”
