The Ten Best SoundCloud Finds of the Month (September 2018)

Listen to new jams from some of New York City’s best new rappers, including Radamiz, Dave East, and Sheff G

It’s been a tough week. It’s time to unwind with some new jams

HEAR: The Ten Best SoundCloud Finds of the Month (August 2018)

We spent the last month taking deep dives into Soundcloud for this moment. For September, we have new hard-hitting songs from Lucki, Dave East, Sheff G, J.I.D, Free P, and more.

Scroll down to see Okayplayer’s best SoundCloud finds of the last month.

Free P “Too Grown”

“Bitch I’m too grown for that bullshit.” Rapper/producer Free P dropped his latest track “Too Grown” at the top of the month. And it’s a thumper. (Also recommended is his AnyDayNow EP from April.)

Lucki “@Night”

Lucki is an extremely talented young rapper. But, man, is he bleak. And, frankly, better to engage with in small doses, like this quick, straight-to-the-point collabo with producer 16yrold.

Killiam Shakespeare & DJ Jazzy Jeff “Crispus Attucks”

Philly legend DJ Jazzy Jeff makes a rare appearance for fellow hometown heroes Killiam Shakespeare.

Knxwledge “whogives?”

This probably doesn’t need to be written, but Knxwledge is incredible. The producer flips Lil Uzi Vert’s minimalistic classic 7AM and makes it something jazzy.

Radamiz “NYNYNYNY”

Brooklyn-based rapper Radamiz drops a hometown anthem. Radamiz clicks off all the boxes of what a New York City rapper should sound like.

Sleepy Hallow & Sheff G “Panic Part 3”

“Panic Part 3” is probably the hardest song Brooklyn rapper Sheff G has been a part of since 2017’s “No Suburban.”

Dave East “Yes Indeed (EAST MIX)”

Despite the fact that he’s constantly put out music, the last couple of years have been a little spotty for Harlem’s Dave East. However, he does well flipping Lil Baby and Drake’s “Yes Indeed.”

J.I.D “151 Rum”

Have no reason why this shit is called “a film.” But J.I.D’s latest is hard. The Atlanta rapper has built a rep for being one of the most tenacious rappers in the game.

Jaquees “The Light (Quemix)”

Let’s show some love to the boy Jaquees who has been putting his own twist on a bunch of contemporary hits. (And he’s gotten in trouble because of it.) He added his special touch to Jeremih and Ty Dolla $ign’s “The Light.”

DRAKEO The Ruler, Bandgang Javar & Slimmy B “Touchin'”
