Tekashi 6ix9ine Denied Bail Following Warrant Arrest

After an incident in Texas earlier this year, a warrant was issued for the rapper's arrest.

A New York judge has denied Tekashi 6ix9ine bail on Thursday, following his arrest for allegedly choking a 16-year-old boy at a Texas mall earlier this year.

The Brooklyn rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, is currently behind bars at Rikers Island and will remain in jail until his hearing on July 20th.

According to The Blast, Tekashi69 admitted to being “irresponsible” with handling his arrest warrant, and that going out on a European tour “wasn’t very responsible.” The rapper has been performing in Europe for his World Domination Tour.

The prosecutor reportedly listed 6ix9ine as a flight risk.

According to a TMZ report, authorities transfered him to the Contagious Disease Unit, a 140-cell portion of the prison which is typically intended to hold inmates battling illnesses, but also used for celebrities who can't be in general population.
