It appears we’ll have to wait a bit longer for Teddy Riley and Babyface‘s Instagram Live showdown.
This morning, Swizz Beats announced the much-anticipated live battle between the hitmakers had been postponed via Instagram. The producer (and presenter?) did not cite any specific reason for the delay, but promised “the new date is coming back ASAP and we’re taking the quality to the next levels.”
The original match was to go live at 6pm EST this evening with each musician given 20 tracks of ammunition. At some point, “LA” Reid” was also tapped to appear, but neither Reid or Babyface had issued any comment on the event, causing fans to wonder if someone had dropped out. In his post, Swizz ensures that’s not the case, but it does seem there may be an amendment to the line-up.
Hold tight for updates on that front. Until then, you can jump back to watch Scott Storch and Mannie Fresh square up in one of the week’s best bouts.
