With a new album en route and a grip of forthcoming tour dates ahead, Talib Kweli took some time out of an increasingly clogged schedule to perform at NYC’s historic, Carnegie Hall, last night.

Appearing at the star-studded Pathway to Paris concert alongside Patti Smith, Cat Power, Michael Stipe and more, Kweli brought out Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist, Flea, for a rousing rendition of his 2003 single “Get By.” In an Instagram clip posted early this morning, folk hero, Joan Baez, can be seen storming the stage during Kweli’s performance (shouts to bass gawd Brady Watt for humbly manning the tambourine.)
