T.I. Calls Co-Signing Iggy Azalea "the Tarnish" of His Legacy

No mediocre.

Back in 2012, T.I. started co-signing up-and-coming rapper Iggy Azalea. Not only co-signing, but signing the rapper to a deal and executive-producing her debut album, The New Classic, which was released in 2014. By 2015, the relationship was over: both rappers admitting that they went their separate ways.

Now T.I. is showing some regrets about that decision. According to The Root, T.I., in an interview, publicly stated that signing Iggy was "blunder" and that the move was "the tarnish" of his "legacy." Here is the full quote:

I’m still actively looking for another female rapper who can undo the blunder of Iggy Azalea...That is the tarnish of my legacy as far as [being] a [music] executive is concerned. To me, this is like when Michael Jordan went to play baseball.

Iggy saw the comment and responded and then deleted. According to the Shade Room she wrote: "Imagine thinking I was his biggest blunder lmaooooooooo. Tip. Sweetie. We have a whole list for you."
