"Playing Games" is one of Walker's singles that dropped ahead of her chart-topping debut studio album Over It.

"Did I ever ask you to take me to go shopping in Paris or go sailing overseas and go drape me in Gucci?" The opening lyrics of Summer Walker's single "Playing Games" reels fans and new listeners alike in to her intoxicating voice on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This track was a single off of her debut studio album Over It which dropped back in October. With a laidback approach, Summer graced the stage wearing a tailored navy suit paired with glittery buttons and accents. The Destiny's Child Grammy Award-winning track "Say My Name" was given a sultry twist accompanied by a live band and Walker's lush vocals on the late night show.

Over It which rose to the No. 2 spot on Billboard's Hot 200 back in October allowed fans an in-depth look into the breakout singer's songwriting skills. "Playing Games" is a breakup song that is marked by expressive lines like "I'm just tryna match your words with your actions/I need more than satisfaction/Is you really 'bout that action?" The performance gives Walker an opportunity to share her innermost thoughts on what it's like ending a toxic relationship that meant the world to her.

Additional standout songs on Over It included the upbeat "Come Thru," featuring Usher, "Body," a sensual cut and "Tonight," a track for lovers. The entire project speaks to the artist's ability to create relatable music about dating, heartbreak and also highlights sex positivity.

At just 23 years old, Summer Walker has undoubtedly reinvigorated the R&B industry with her emotionally moving singles packed with memorable lyrics. Last year, her breakout song "Girls Need Love" introduced her as a rising star out of Atlanta. As time has gone on she rolled out a well received 2018 project Last Day Of Summer and also the 2019 EP CLEAR. She is currently wrapping her First and Last Tour.
