Here’s some free advice for any artist out there: don’t release your album the same day JAY-Z is releasing his.

This is something that legendary group TLC learned the hard way, when they dropped their first new album in 15 years on June 30th, the same day JAY-Z dropped 4:44.
The group’s self-titled new album got buried, which is a shame because the album is quite good and full of those feel-good, old-school sounding jams we associate with the legendary group.

The LP, which was funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, features an appearance from Snoop Dogg, who is on the album’s first single “Way Back.”
