It’s been six years since Nas released his last album, 2012’s Life is Good. It’s the longest break in the legendary rapper’s career.
That changes now. Nas is getting set to release his 11th solo studio album, Nasir. The album is executive produced by Kanye West and is part of the five seven-track album strategy GOOD Music has been rolling out.

The album is being premiered at a listening party near Queensbridge in Queens. The event is being streamed live on YouTube. The stream started at nine but nothing has happened so far. We imagine that the album will begin streaming at midnight.

Earlier in the day Nas released the cover for the album. It features a striking image of a group of black boys standing in front of a no loitering sign. Two of the boys are holding machine guns.
