A former friend and collaborator of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder addresses the controversy surrounding the new documentary.

Leaving Neverland, the documentary centered on two men who allege Michael Jackson sexually abused them when they were children, recently aired on HBO in two parts.

Since then, the documentary has been criticized by Jackson's family as well as fans of the late artist, with the estate even suing HBO for $100 million over the documentary. But the documentary has also left some fans conflicted about listening to Jackson's music and even engaging with it all following the release of Leaving Neverland.

While speaking with TMZ, Stevie Wonder was asked how should people approach listening to the late pop star's music today considering the recent release of the documentary and the allegations of child sexual abuse against him.

"He's died, he's dead. Hopefully, we can continue the legacy of inspiration he has given a lot of kids and a lot of people," Wonder responded.

Leaving Neverland aired March 3 and 4 on HBO. When the first part was shown, the Jackson Estate sent out a tweet via Michael Jackson's twitter announcing that they had just released the 1992 concert film Live in Bucharest (The Dangerous Tour) on YouTube "for a limited time."

The Estate then released Live at Wembley July 16th, 1988 at the same time part two of the documentary ran.
