Sonos Partners With Dust and Grooves To Host Record Swap For Record Store Day
Record collectors will also have an opportunity to witness a conversation with artists and collectors Talib Kweli and Natasha Diggs at the Sonos Store in Soho.
Time is an elusive chanteuse, isn’t it? Just a minute ago, the year had started and we were braving the cold. Now, it is Record Store Day in New York City approaches, yet it is still cold here. With wax lovers, vinyl traders, and record buyers all anticipating to hit the markets for what’s available to own and collect — Sonos has joined the fray with Dust and Grooves to host a Record Store Day record swap at the Sonos Store in Soho.
Yes, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 21, you can join a community of record collectors to find those rare gems that your collection has been yearning for. Following the swap, the duo will treat audiophiles to a conversation with artists and fellow collectors Talib Kweli and Natasha Diggs afterward. And you’ll be able to spin your new records on Pro-Ject vinyl players within Sonos’ listening rooms.
“I’ve been digging for records since my teenage years,” Natasha told us exclusively via email. “I’m more of a thrift store, junk shop, flea market kinda girl versus just going to record stores. I love when records come to me like a chance discovery. It is definitely spiritual. Records you never knew you needed or that would resonate the way they do always have a way of finding you.”
