Social Media Is Cringing Over Logic Covering Ice Cube's "It Was A Good Day"

Earlier this week, Logic released a guitar cover of Ice Cube's 1992 hit "It Was A Good Day," sparking divided reactions from fans.

Social media had a lot to say about Logic's cover of 1992 Ice Cube hit "It Was A Good Day." Released on Monday (March 6), the Maryland native, legal name Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, dropped an alt-rock version of The Predator single, sparking divided reactions. A clip of the cover sees Logic performing in front of two guitarists while the F. Gary Gray-directed music video plays in the background.

"It's pretty authentic," the 33-year-old rapper says at the end of the cover.

The cover makes Hall's latest effort with "It Was A Good Day," as he last sampled the song for "Saturday (Skit)" from his 2013 mixtape Young Sinatra: Welcome to Forever. While Cube hasn't responded to Hall's newest cover, his son, actor O'Shea Jackson Jr. chimed in, warning the rapper not to sing about his mother, Kimberly Woodruff-Jackson.

Last month, Bobby Tarantino returned with his eighth studio album, College Park, with features from RZA, Bun B, Fat Trel, Redman, Joey Bada$$, Norah Jones and more. In May, Hall will head out on The College Park Tour with Juicy J and BobbyBoy Records signees C Dot Castro and Travis Stacey. The tour kicks off on May 25 at The Sylvee in Madison, Wisconsin, also hitting Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Houston, San Francisco and more before concluding at the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.

During a recent interview on SirusXM, Hall revealed that he and Juicy J are working on a project, currently having 20 demo tracks with the Memphis native.

"Oh yeah. It’s crazy. It’s insane. I got it, it’s on my phone… I said if me and Jordan are doing something, I gotta produce that whole thing. Yeah, from beginning to end.”
