Sheila E, fDeluxe & New Power Generation To Headline Prince’s Second Annual Celebration Gathering
Prince’s Paisley Park have announced the details for Celebration 2018, the second annual four-day gathering at the late music icon’s Chanhassen, Minnesota complex.
This year marks the second year of Prince’s passing and to continue to value his life and legacy, Paisley Park announced the details for Celebration 2018. This now-annual four-day gathering of musicians, fans and friends, which takes place at his Chanhassen, Minnesota complex, will take place April 19 – 22 and “welcome fans from around the world”.
Live music, panel discussions and special presentations are on the bill for Celebration 2018, as these will all be meant to highlight Prince’s trememndous talent, influence and importance as a true artist. Scheduled to perform are Prince’s longtime protégé Sheila E., fDeluxe — the group formerly known as The Family — and the live debut of a new supergroup comprised of members of Paisley Park and New Power Generation alumni.
On April 21, which is the two-year anniversary of Prince’s death, Celebration 2018 will head to Minnaepolis’ Target Center for Prince: Live on the Big Screen, a concert film featuring “newly remastered and never-before-released audio and video of Prince accompanied live on the Target Center stage by an all-star ensemble of musicians who performed alongside him throughout his storied career.”
