One of the standout tracks from Solange’s last album, A Seat at the Table, was “Don’t Touch My Hair.”
That song featured Sampha. It’s clear that the two have a mutual admiration for each other.
Last week, Sampha played Glastonbury 2017, in Somerset, England. While there, Sampha caught up with the BBC for what seemed like a private, intimate performance.
The singer sang his outstanding “Blood on Me” track. For his second performance, he did a cover of another A Seat at the Table standout: “Cranes in the Sky.”
The performance, which was just his vocals and a piano, was so moving, Solange sent out a tweet acknowledging it:
sampha your voice and soul are unmatched https://t.co/7sa9AfWUAc

Head to BBC to listen to Sampha’s stunning cover. The “Cranes on the Sky” cover starts at about the 7:00 minute mark. (Even though his “Blood on Me” performance is quite good, too.)
