The 22-track project includes the previously released tracks "Upside Down," "I Don't Age" and "Black Savages," and features guest appearances from T.I., CyHi the Prynce, Sy-Ari Da Kid, White Gold, DJ Premier, Westside Gunn, Conway the Machine, Benny the Butcher, G Perico, and Vince Staples.

In an interview with the Metro Times, Royce discussed how the album came about.

"This is the first album that has ever happened to me," Royce said. "After Book of Ryan, I didn't have anything that I really just needed to say. I would come in here and watch TV, play around, it happened really organically…There wasn't any pressure with this album. It was just me, in here, by myself...talking to myself."

In related news, Royce called out Kid Rock over comments he made in light of the city of Detroit deciding not to renew the lease of his restaurant.

"I will not be renewing my licensing agreement for my Made in Detroit Restaurant this April…I guess the millions of dollars I pumped into that town was not enough," Rock wrote in a Facebook post back in December last year.

Local Detroit station WDIV posted a tweet summarizing the statement, which caught the attention of Royce, who responded to Rock's comments on Twitter.

"Please shut the fuck up and get a publicist before you start a fire that can only be put out by the people who aren’t interested in your 'millions of dollars,'' the rapper tweeted.

The Allegory can be streamed on Spotify and Apple Music.
