Singer Roxiny drops a powerful new video

In June, young up-and-coming singer Roxiny dropped her powerful song "9 Months," the first single from her upcoming debut EP Rituals.

The singer is following up that single with "The Lights." While "9 Months" is a track about the perils of domestic abuse, "The Lights" is a shout out to her city. The song was written as an ode to New York City after the Chelsea bombing last year.

The video is also an ode to her city. The visuals feature the singer roaming the city in all of Roxiny's favorite New York spots, from train yards to abandoned spaces in Fort Tilden, to Dutch Kills Bar and Sunshine Laundromat in Greenpoint.
