Rakim & Bilal to Perform New York City Shows for the Blue Note Jazz Festival

In June, Blue Note Jazz Festival will hold special engagements at Sony Hall, with performances from Bilal and Rakim featuring Ravi Coltrane.

The lineup for the annual Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York is here, with headlining spots from Herbie HancockGeorge Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic and Robert Glasper.

But there are two shows in particular, both produced by Jill Newman Productions, that we want to highlight. The first is headlining show from Rakim with special guest Ravi Coltrane that is happening at Sony Hall on June 8th. The second is a special performance from Bilal, going down on June 13th — also at the Sony Hall. You can cop tickets for the Rakim show here and tickets for the Bilal show here.

“This year’s Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York presents an exceptional range and depth of artistry. We’re excited and proud to present a diverse lineup within different settings and at venues featuring the most established, iconic and influential artists as well as the next generation of cutting edge progressive artists at venues ranging from Washington Square Park, Central Park to the Blue Note Jazz Club in Greenwich Village and more,” said Alex Kurland, Director of Programming, “We are grateful again to bring a tasteful city-wide music festival to the culture of New York City.”

Blue Note Jazz Festival will kick-off on June 1st in Washington Square Park. For more info, head here.
