R. Kelly May Face Indictments Related to Sex Trafficking and Tax Evasion
An investigation has been led by officials with ICE Homeland Security Investigations.
R. Kelly may face two indictments with charges related to sex trafficking and tax evasion.
According to a report in The Blast, officials have been interviewing witnesses and testimony will be presented in front of grand juries in the Southern District of New York and the Northern District of Illinois.
Officials reportedly are looking into allegations that Kelly and his associates purchased plane tickets for underage girls and transporting them around the country while he was performing.
The investigation has reportedly been led by officials with ICE Homeland Security Investigations, entities responsible for investigating human trafficking, sex trafficking, and child exploitation crimes.
According to The Blast, a group of the witnesses are family of Kelly’s girlfriend Joycelyn Savage, who shared information and physical evidence, including plane tickets, text messages, and photos with investigators to help build the case.
