While on Ebro in the Morning she did a fair amount of reminiscing, talking about how she made her transition from hip-hop to TV and movie star and what it was like to hand Three 6 Mafia their Oscar for "It's Hard out Here for a Pimp."

But the most interesting portion of the interview came near the end, when she talked about contemporary topics, like when she and a bunch of legendary female MCs came out during Remy Ma's set at Summer Jam.

Then she spoke about modern day hip-hop. Overall, she is optimistic about the art form, saying "to me, hip-hop is back." But she did have some critiques for rappers nowadays:

"A lot of rappers lost their balls. They got soft. Like, when things are going on in the world, like [Donald] Trump or elections, this was the stuff we chewed on. Or how much heroin — people addicted to heroin [there is]. Where's the flip-side to Molly Percocet? Well the flip-side is that you're missing out on life, you sleep, you crash your car. I'm not judging either way. I'm just saying it's always good to have both those sides."

It's pretty good stuff. Listen to the entire interview below.
