Pusha T Says He is No Longer Affiliated with G.O.O.D. Music

In an interview with XXL, Grammy-nominated rapper Pusha T says that he's resigned as president of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music.

The ink has almost dried on Pusha T's renewed deal with Kanye West's label G.O.O.D. Music. The Virginia rapper, who became president of the label in 2015, revealed in a new interview with XXL, that he's resigned as G.O.O.D. Music president after having a 50/50 with Def Jam and his label, Heir Wave Music Group for solo material.

When asked if he was still president of the company, Push responded “No, I’m not," also clarifying that he's "not tied with G.O.O.D. Music anymore in any way,” citing his bad blood with label founder Kanye West.

“He’s not speaking to me now,” Pusha T said of West. “If you ain’t with it, you ain’t down. And I ain’t with it. I’m not budging on that. I’m not with it. I heard about this new stuff [on InfoWars]. I don’t know. It’s something that just sort of tells me he’s not well, at the same time. I will say that. It’s going to places where it’s no way to move around it.”

During the controversial Infowars episode earlier this month, West praised German dictator and Nazi Party founder, Adolf Hilter, even going as far as defending Nazis. West's deal with G.O.O.D. Music ended in 2021, prior to the release of eleventh album, Donda 2.

Pusha's thoughts on West echo his recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, where he disavowed the artist's antisemitism and hate speech.

“It’s definitely affected me. It’s been disappointing,” he said. “As a Black man in America, there is no room for bigotry or hate speech. So yeah. It’s been very disappointing, let’s talk straight.”
