Phony Ppl rocked the desk.

Brooklyn-based band Phony Ppl made their trek to the NPR office in Washington, D.C. There, they made their debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series

Phony Ppl, who was joined by saxophonist Braxton Cook, started out by performing  “Compromise,” off of their 2015 album Yesterday’s Tomorrow. They then did two songs from their latest album, mō’zā-ik,  — “One Man Band” and “Cookie Crumble.” They finally capped off the performance by doing a stirring reduction of “Why iii Love the Moon,” the standout song from mō’zā-ik.
