The Hiero alum strikes back
It’s been a cool couple of years since we caught up with Oakland wordsmith and foundational Souls of Mischief member, Opio. His last project, Sempervirens, was a collaborative outing with veteran LA beat scene outfit, Free The Robots.

For his latest, he taps another reclusive and minimalistic beat maven. With a full suite of lucid and loose Dakim-helmed heaters, the hazed-out Hieroglyphics alum cuts up everything from golden age-referencing boom bap to more spacious and slightly-swung Dilla-esque concoctions on the svelte 6-track EP.
