Nicki Minaj, Drake, & Lil Wayne Reunite on “Seeing Green”

Nicki Minaj has put her classic mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty on DSPs. On the mixtape is "Seeing Green," a song that features Drake and Lil Wayne.

For the last week, Nicki Minajhas been teasing something. The Barbz out there assumed that new music was coming. Turns out they were right.

Nicki Minaj has rereleased her classic breakthrough mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty. The mixtape, which was hosted by DJ Holiday and released on April 18, 2009, is available on all DSPs for the first time ever. There are a couple of treats with the mixtape: Nicki included three new tracks. One song is “Seeing Green,” which features Drake and Lil Wayne rapping over an instrumental that uses the same sample that up-and-coming producer Trizzy Track used on his viral beat 2019. The next is a solo track called“Fractions” and then a remix of Skillibeng’s street hit “Crocodile Teeth.”

Before midnight, Nicki did an Instagram Live where she announced the rerelease of the mixtape. She also teased a new album coming soon (despite the fact she flirted with retirement a couple of years ago.)

At one point Drake hopped on the live. During his time, he talked about “Seeing Green” and why he wanted her on the song. He said:

“It didn’t feel right, you not being on it. Nobody does this shit better than you… We miss your presence, we miss your bars.”

“Seeing Green” is the first time the three hopped on a song since 2017 when she released "No Frauds."

On “Seeing Green," Nicki raps:

"I wash bitches, man, they couldn't even rinse me

She said she hot, I said, "Well, bitch, come and convince me"

Ain't no C in green, but I'm seein' green

Even with them floor seats, they couldn't see the team

The K-I-N-G, the G.O.A.T., plus me, the Queen

I send shots, send 'em back or flee the scene"
