An unlikely source has broken the news: Nas is dropping a new album. This scoop is according to Big Sean, who posted videos of the two mid-studio sessions.
"By the way, Nas dropping an album. I'm putting Nas on blast right now," Sean said. Nas laughed and replied "something like that...it's kinda hard to replace me."

Nas has been a busy man as of late. He recently linked up with Lil Nas X for the track "Rodeo." The two performed at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The Queens MC will also perform his Distant Relatives joint album with Damian Marley on a Royal Caribbean cruise line for the album's tenth anniversary. Last summer, he and Mary J. Blige went on the 29-date Royalty Tour.
In a recent interview with Haute Living, he discussed the release of Lost Tapes 2 and his plans for the next two chapters in the series. While 17 years passed between the first and second chapters in the series, he revealed he doesn't plan to go so long between releases in the future.

"Quicker than 17 years, that's for sure," he promised. "Because they need to come out.
Time will tell if the release Sean hinted at will be the next chapters. From the looks of things, the project just may have a Big Sean feature.
