This week there are some heavy hitters who’ve finally decided to drop their newest albums. Steve Lacy has dropped off his funky new album Gemini Rights. Fousheé and Matt Martians are the only features.
DJ Premier has also stepped up to the plate and unveiled Hip-Hop 50 Vol. 1 honoring rap’s 50th anniversary (we can’t believe been this long since its inception.) The compilation isn’t long but it features Nas, Run The Jewels, Remy Ma, Rapsody, Slick Rick, and more. Kid Cudi‘s seminal A Kid Name Cudi mixtape has hit streamers. Rowdy Rebel unleashes his debut album Rebel vs. Rowdy. Lloyd Banks shares The Source of the Inevitable 2 with appearances from Jadakiss, Benny The Butcher, and Tony Yayo.
Also! Lizzo returns with Special, she boldly has no features on this album. R&B heads should be rejoicing too, Ne-Yo also is dipping his toes in this week’s new music roundup with his latest Self Explanatory.
Yo Gotti’s CMG has been giving fans a taste of what they’ve got in the arsenal. Today they’ve dropped Gangsta Art with appearances from the usual suspects: Moneybagg Yo, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, Mozzy, and more.
Don’t sleep on Sheff G‘s latest From The Can and Rexx Life Raj‘s The Blue Hour.
