4 New Hip-Hop Albums You Should Be Listening To (Week of January 13)

Madlib and Declaime drop off their collaborative album In The Beginning Vol. 3 and the House Party soundtrack also arrives on this New Music Friday.

Madlib and Declaime return with In The Beginning Vol. 3. It’s a prolific compilation that is undeniably valuable in this day and age. Beyond this notion, it’s a breath of fresh air. 

Earlier this week, 03 Greedo surprise dropped his Free 03 mixtape, he also was released from prison on Thursday. His new tape features the late Drakeo The Ruler, KenTheMan, BlueBucksClan and OHGEESY. Skyzoo also releases The Mind Of A Saint, its his latest album since his 2021 release All The Brilliant Things.

Here's a fun one, alongside the release of the House Party reboot is the film's new soundtrack.

In The Beginning Vol. 3 is funky and the perfect vibe to throw on as you kick back and relax. It’s enjoyable from start to finish and it’s the third installment of the In The Beginning series from the duo.

This surprise tape from 03 Greedo is packed with rambunctious energy. Entirely produced by Mike Free, each track is an acquired taste, but it gets the job done.

Skyzoo – The Mind Of A Saint

Over mellow beats, Skyzoo unleashes a heartfelt album. Franklin from Snowfall serves as a point of inspiration for the entire project – prepare yourself to hear Franklin’s vantage point on hustling, morals and keeping his head on a swivel.

Assorted Artists – House Party New Motion Picture Soundtrack

It's a little tough to recreate the cult classic House Party, but Lebron James and Maverick Carter took a stab at it. The new film is out today, so the soundtrack is too. On the stacked soundtrack, you'll find classics by Montell Jordan "This Is How We Do It" and modern artists like Smino, Buddy, and more.
