Nas joined The Breakfast Club to speak about his new album as well as past works.

This past Friday, Nas released his twelfth studio album, King's Disease. The Hit-Boy produced project featured guest appearances from The Firm, Anderson .Paak, Fivio Foreign, and more. Recently, Nas joined The Breakfast Club, where he also discussed what went wrong with his last album, the Kanye West-produced Nasir. Stream the full interview below.

"I don't know what went wrong," he said. "I would say I did want to work more with him. We spent some time there but I was working on ideas, he would give me a few loops and I'd write to them, but they weren't finished. He was working on a lot, he had Cudi, Teyana Taylor, and he had his album. I was the only one starting fresh, so I got the [least] time with him."

Nasir was the fourth of five albums Kanye produced in the 2018 Wyoming Sessions. Pusha T's Daytona, Kanye's Ye and Kid Cudi collaboration Kids See Ghosts all preceded the Nas album.

"We really did that album that week it was supposed to come out," Nas continued. "It just went crazy once we announced we were doing the album. I definitely wanted to work with him a lot more than we did. It's a short album, we just didn't get enough time. I wish we worked on it more, but certain things happen for reasons."
