Mura Masa Flips Prog-Rock into House on ‘Rhythm Roulette’

The experimental UK producer shoots his shot on Rhythm Roulette

While he’s currently on tour in support of his self-titled debut, Mura Masa put a little a time aside to run the random-record challenge on the latest installment of Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette.

WATCH: Mura Masa & Moses Boyd Make a Song From Scratch

Armed with selections from the crates of NYC’s Good Records, Masa takes his haul back to the lab for a master class in laptop chops and edits, pulling a hook from a prog-rock record, snagging stops from another, and bending them into his own wickedly minimalistic house composition. His new album is out now via Polydor.
