The Alchemist Drops a New Mobb Deep Song in Honor of Prodigy

The first time Prodigy and The Alchemist worked together was 1999.

The producer, who was still an up-and-coming then, produced “The Realest,” a track off of Mobb Deep‘s Murda Muzik album. From there, Prodigy and Alchemist would collaborate dozens of times over the years, even doing a couple of albums together.

This week, The Alchemist released a new album called The Goodbook Vol.2. On the album is a new Mobb Deep song called “Try My Hand.” On the day his album released, The Alchemist decided to release that track on his Soundcloud as a stand alone, writing “For my brother” in the caption.

The song is quite good; and fits perfectly on the album (The Goodbook Vol. 2 is the Alchemist flipping religious samples.)

Listen to the song and stream the album below.
