The Michael Jackson Estate Released a Concert Film to Counter the Premiere of ‘Leaving Neverland’

The MJ Estate is working hard.

On Sunday, March 3rd, HBO premiered the first part of their Leaving Neverland documentary. In it, two men, Wade Robson and James Safechuck, detailed in very specific detail how Jackson allegedly sexually abused them as children.

During the first 30 minutes of the film, Michael Jackson’s twitter sent out a tweet announcing that they had just released the 1992 concert film Live in Bucharest (The Dangerous Tour) on YouTube “for a limited time:”

It shouldn’t be seen as a  coincidence that the concert film is the same running length as the first half of Leaving Neverland.

On Monday, March 4th, part two of the documentary will air on HBO at 8 PM. The Estate announced that they will be releasing Live at Wembley July 16th, 1988 at the same time part two of the documentary runs.

This seems to be the latest strategy from the Jackson Estate who is trying to counter the damage Leaving Neverland is sure to bring. The estate recently filed a $100 million lawsuit against HBO.

After part two runs, HBO is set to air an interview Oprah Winfrey conducted with Wade Robson, James Safechuck, and director Dan Reed.
