Now, to celebrate the album’s 20 year anniversary, Maxwell will re-release the album on vinyl. This new special vinyl edition of Embryo will be dropping on September 28, via Sony Music’s Certified Classics).

What makes this reissue really cool is the fact that the album has been remastered by Stuart Matthewman, who has worked with Maxwell and Sade in the past. The album has also been slightly re-sequenced; “Gestation: Mythos,” the opening track, has been moved to the end.
