R&B Icon Mary J. Blige To Receive Her Own Star On Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

After all these years of putting in classic, iconic work — Mary J. Blige will receive her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Jan. 11.
If you’re in Hollywood on Jan. 11, you might want to stop over at Hollywood Blvd. to witness greatness being celebrated. R&B icon Mary J. Blige is receiving her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the recording category. Friend, confidante and fellow musician, Sean “Love” Combs will be unveiling the star alongside Hollywood Chamber president and CEO Leron Gubler.

“Mary J. Blige is one of the most popular singers of our generation,” producer of Walk of Fame ceremonies Ana Martinez told Variety. “Fans will be thrilled to see her star on the Boulevard as career milestones are celebrated on this very famous sidewalk.” Blige has been an institution of hits and classic albums, releasing 13 solo albums, racking up 31 Grammy nods and nine awards, to date.
