Listen to Mahershala Ali’s Awesome Summer 2017 Playlist

Earlier in the week, GQ revealed the cover star for their July issue: it’s Oscar winner Mahershala Ali.The article, which was written by Carvell Wallace, is an excellent look into the psyche of one of Hollywood’s brightest young stars.

READ: Before Mahershala Ali Was An Oscar-Winning Actor He Was A Pretty Good Rapper

GQ had a number of cool elements attached the cover story. One of them, was a summer 2017 playlist, curated by Ali himself.

And, we must say, the man has some great taste: featured on the playlist are jams from Shabazz Palaces, Black Star, Knxwledge, JAY-Z, Slum Village, Erykah Badu, and more.

It shouldn’t be that surprising to hear Ali has a good ear; before he gave acting all of his attention he was a very talented underground rapper.

Check out Ali’s excellent playlist below.
