Logic Officially Retires With 'No Pressure' Album, Gives Emotional Send-Off to His Fans

Logic has retired with the release of No Pressure, his sixth and final album. (For now.)

Logic has released his sixth studio album, No Pressure. This album is special; because, according to Logic, it's the final one of his career.

Last week, Logic took to social media to announce that the album, which was executive produced by No-ID, was his last one.

"Officially announcing my retirement with the release of 'No Pressure' executive produced by No I.D. July 24th...," Logic wrote in a caption for the announcement on Instagram. "It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father."

No Pressure is the sequel to the rapper's 2014 album Under Pressure, and is the follow-up to 2019's Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Days after announcing he was retiring, it was announced that Logic inked a seven-figure deal with live streaming giant Twitch. During an interview with  The Verge Logic talked about why he's leaving the rap game.

“I announced my retirement from music because it came to a point where I felt forced, like I had to do certain things...And it’s not that the label made me feel that way. I was doing it to myself, because I’m such a businessman, and I was pushing myself to the brink of insanity.”

Last night, Logic went to Twitch for a virtual listening party. After the last track, Logic got emotional while talking about his fans and is rap career. He thanked all the people who inspired him, from Kendrick Lamar to J. Cole to Drake. He said:

"I wanna thank Kendrick because he doesn't know how much he was there for me, and Cole, and Drake...Fucking A$AP and Ferg, and Mac Demarco, man, fucking Toro y Moi. It was such a dream for him to be on this album and record. There's too many people, man."

He also spoke, vaguely, about being at peace with where he's at.

"I used to really care about what 'hip-hop Twitter' or whatever the fuck...thought about me...there's a part of me that still does, for sure. But the other 90 percent of me is really happy."

Logic has gotten a lot of criticism recently, mostly from Joe Budden who isn't a fan of his work and has mocked him several times now.
