Watch Lizzo’s Rihanna-Approved BET Awards Performance

The Fenty Beauty founder could be seen dancing in the audience during the Cuz I Love You artist’s performance.

Lizzo took to the stage Sunday night at the BET Awards to perform her song “Truth Hurts.” Referencing the music video for the track, Lizzo and a group of dancers performed in wedding gowns atop a fake wedding cake.

But the highlight of the performance was surely the moment Lizzo turned away from the camera only to face it with a flute that seemed to come out of nowhere, and simultaneously play the instrument while twerking.

Lizzo’s performance was well-received, most notably by Rihanna, who could be seen in the crowd enjoying the set.

Lizzo released her third studio album Cuz I Love You in April. The project features guest appearances from Gucci Mane and Missy Elliott, the latter of which appears on the track “Tempo.”
