In November 2018, Peep released his sophomore album, Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 2 arrived, which became his first posthumous project, following his debut, Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 1.

Peep’s track “Sunlight on Your Skin,” was reworked by the late controversial rapper XXXTentacion as “Falling Down.” According to The New York Times, the collaboration was released after both rappers’ deaths, though members of Peep’s camp objected due to “Peep’s wariness of XXXTentacion because of the severe allegations against him.”

On November 15, 2017, Lil Peep was found dead on his tour bus in Tuscon Arizona. He died of a reported accidental overdose.
