“Old Town Road” is officially the longest-running number one hip-hop single of all time. Prior to “Old Town Road,” three songs held the record: those songs were Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again,” in 2015; The Black Eyed Peas’ “Boom Boom Pow” in 2009; and Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” in 2002 and ’03.

It’s only the 12th single in the chart’s history to stay at number one for 13 weeks.
If the song stays number one for another four weeks, it will break a Billboard record. (Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” and Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day” are tied for the record with 16 straight weeks at number one.)
Last week “Old Town Road” had 88.7 million U.S. streams, with an additional 59,000 in downloads.
