Former The Four contestant Leah Jenea drops off her latest video.

Back in February, New Jersey-born singer Leah Jeneareleased her debut EP, Leah Meets Nina. The six-track EP is an ode to one Jenea's heroes: the unparalleled Nina Simone.

The project stands out for a number of reasons: it contains numerous samples from legendary Nina Simone tracks. And it provides an opportunity for Jenea — who first got attention as a contestant on The Four — to show off her song-crafting chops.

One of the standout songs on the EP is "Gold Ring." And today we're proud to premiere the video for the empowering single. The video, which was directed by Jay Rodriguez — who recently tackled Lil Wayne's excellent "Don't Cry" video — has an edgy futuristic vibe to it. We are definitely digging it.
