Superproducer Knxwledge’s sophomore album will arrive in a little over a month. The New Jersey native and Los Angeles resident announced the project with its first two singles, “learn” and “howtokope.”
1988 will arrive on deluxe vinyl on March 27. The album will be boxed with a 10-inch EP and a 7-inch single record. The physical copies will feature new music that won’t be released on digital platforms. Vinyl copies of previous releases are currently available on his Bandcamp page.
The producer released his first studio album, Hud Dreams, on Stones Throw in 2015. However, he’s released music on a near-monthly basis ever since the year 2011. In April 2018, he released the Gladwemet EP. The short release features Los Angeles rapper Traffic. In November 2019, he released WT_PRT15. This past December, he remixed R&B cuts on HX.PRT_13.8. Last month, he released the MEEK.VOL5 mixtape, his fifth tape so far filled with Meek Mill remixes.
Knxwledge’s most popular body of work, however, came along with Anderson .Paak. The two released Yes Lawd! as NxWorries in 2016. That year, he produced “Momma” from Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Award-winning album To Pimp a Butterfly. In 2017, he doubled back around to remix Yes Lawd!
Since 2009, Knxwledge has released over 100 new beat tapes via Bandcamp. Vinyl copies and digital downloads are available for purchase on the site.
