A number of critics and fans alike shared their first reactions to the highly-anticipated album on Twitter following the listening party that was streamed on WAV.

"Off one listen, Ye either rushed his own album or spent all his attention perfecting ," wrote Eric Diep. "His raps are more focused and nuanced. He's not spitting lines for clickbait. Substance, but still moments of emptiness."

Kids See Ghosts is the third release of several albums to be produced by West. First was the release of Pusha T's Daytona which was followed by West's Ye.
