Grammys 2018: Kendrick Lamar And Dave Chappelle Should Open Every Music Award Show

Earlier this week came the announcement that Kendrick Lamar would be opening the 2018 Grammy Awards alongside Dave Chappelle and U2. And now that their introduction has happened we’ve just got to say: Kendrick Lamar and Dave Chappelle need to open each and every music award show moving forward.

“Hi. I’m Dave Chappelle. And I just wanted to remind the audience that the only thing more frightening than watching a black man be honest in America is being an honest black man in America. Sorry for the interruption. Please continue,” Chappelle said as Lamar went through a medley of “XXX,” “DNA,” and Jay Rock’s “King’s Dead.”

U2’s Bono and The Edge also joined Lamar onstage with the rapper’s politically-driven performance.

But, back to Lamar and Chappelle. Now we just want them to open any and all music award shows, as well as embark on a tour, because obviously it would be monumental.
