Lost & Found, her independently created debut studio album, will hit everywhere on June 8. The long-awaited project comes after putting in the groundwork to build up a solid reputation.
From her debut EP Project 11 in 2016 to her club hit “On My Mind” in 2017, Jorja found the right pocket to dive into. After that, she landed on Drake’s More Life playlist, where the duo created a hit with “Get It Together,” and then took it to Wakanda with the song “I Am,” which appeared on the Black Panther soundtrack.
Even last year, Drake joined Jorja Smith during a show in Toronto to perform their collaboration, which you can watch below.
To ring in the new year, Jorja took home the Critics’ Choice Award at December’s BRIT Awards, where she said, “A lot of people said I wouldn’t win because I wasn’t with a label.” You go, Jorja! Prove those haters and doubters wrong because we know you’re the Chosen One.
